Might be cheaper from Fredrikshavn to Gøteborg. When I go to jylland thats my preference because of cheaper ferry. last time i paid about 80 euro for 2 persons and a car. (2007)

It's the caravan that puts the price up! Never tried just turning up, but who knows?

I don´t think just turning up will help matters...Color Line have fixed fares for everything. Travelling off peak will help a little i.e avoid Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Okay have booked ferry now from Hirtshals to Bergen on the 8th April. Only 100 euros more & overnight cabin.
Be great to meet up with people on the way back down to Germany. Where & when people?

Thanks for all the offers of help & advice chaps. We are madly packing (throwing everything in van) ready for set off tomorrow (Sunday) morning. Hope to see some of you soon or at the syncro meet.

We think there are at least 9 Norwegian vans travelling to the syncro jubilee in Germany. 7 vans are sailing from Kristiansand with the Color Line ferry on Thursday morning at 8am: 4 vans from Kristiansand, 1 from Mandal & 2 from Stavanger. Some others are taking the Oslo-Kiel ferry at 2pm on Wednesday & others are driving via Sweden & Denmark, leaving Norway sometime Wednesday evening.

Nice to hear that there are so many vans going to Mammutpark for the Syncro25 meet. There are just 3 vans heading over from Ireland and we will be there on the Thursday before the event ....
