AAB 2,4l Diesel engine for sale

Post by ilmenator »

Dessverre min norsk er ikke bra nok for å si dette på norsk...

Up for sale is a 2,4l Diesel engine (AAB type), førstegangsregistrert 1992-11-02, 263563km, mostly driven as a holiday car on long distance routes, with an automatic gearshift. I bought the car last year in October from Lofoten, removed the interior parts (seats, carpet, etc.) to put into my other T4, but am not knowledgeable enough (and don't have the equipment) to deal with the engine etc. Also, my other T4 has the ACV engine, so the AAB is basically useless for me...

It goes for Kr. 1.500,- which is what I would get for the car as vrakpant - BUT, you'll have to take the rest of the car (=chassis) as well, and you have to arrange for transportation. It's NOT driveable and standing in Melhus, 20km south of Trondheim.

The automatic gearshift is broken, which is why the original owner sold the car. Only 3rd and reverse are working. I brought it to Trondheim on a Hurtigruten ship, and it drove well from Trondheim to Melhus in 3rd. The engine works like a charm, and it would really be a shame to give it to the bilhogger.

I believe there is nothing to loose for someone who can handle this - you can still claim the vrakpant, but again, it would be a shame... I will need another two weeks or so to remove a few parts I still need. Contact me for details.

Takk, Ulrich

Ok, just to finish this:

A guy from Bergen wanted to buy it for three weeks but never showed up. In the end, it went to the bilhogger. Pity.
